I've been inactive on here for a few weeks because I was fortunate to go on a #TripOfALifetime to Bali. I did work a little and intended to keep up with my content posting while away, and then I just felt the overwhelming need to step away and truly be present while on this vacation. But I am back now 😉
🙏🏼I was able to spend some time with elephants. At one point, a baby came along and a collective of females came together on a roaring and determined mission to protect it. They instinctually surrounded the baby until he was comfortable with us and they knew he was safe. This was a powerful reminder, that as females, we too have #power in groups to help protect each other, our feminine energy, and our social requirements.
🙏🏼I was also blessed with the healing waters of a popular temple. I always knew that water was an #EnergyGiver for me, but that never became so apparent as spending time in these healing pools. Water, for me, can #nourish, #connect and #rebalance my energy.
🙏🏼We had many animal encounters on this trip, from baby elephants to monkeys, kittens, singing geckos, snakes, and birds. These animals trusted us to honor them and keep them safe while providing us with a great reminder to be #present. They are not worried about the past or the future, they are grounded exactly in the moment of playing, self-care, sleeping, or eating. The #simplicity is a great reminder to stay grounded in these important #fundamentals.
🙏🏼Spending time with the local Balinese demonstrated that even among the chaos of day-to-day life, you can #ChooseHappiness. Even though traffic seems out of control, I never once saw road rage. The locals are peaceful, kind, and constantly smiling.
🙏🏼And, finally #friendships. Like a powerful herd of female elephants, friendships are needed to #FuelOurSouls providing the energy we need to take on the #challenges in life. Whether new friendships or rekindling old ones, I am grateful to be part of a group of powerhouse women!
This trip has provided me with a powerful #reminder of being #grounded in the moment and appreciating exactly what’s in front of you at any given moment. This is exactly why taking time away from work and day-to-day life is so important. I am #refueled in a way that I simply wouldn’t be able to do otherwise.
I encourage you to take your #VacationTime! So many people I speak to barely take a basic 2 weeks of time off during the year. You don’t have to go to Bali but you do need a break to #SeparateFromTheDailyGrind, to #assess what you love and what could be better in your entire life. This break is the opportunity to gain perspective and then make any shifts in your life you need.
You deserve the #break. Take it and enjoy every second of it.
So, when are you planning your next #vacation?
